Marc Cremer Joins PCTEL as Vice President of North American Sales CHICAGO, Feb 25, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq:PCTI), a leading provider of Internet access products and 802.11 mobility software, announced today that Marc Cremer has joined PCTEL as Vice President of North American Sales. Mr. Cremer brings 15 years experience in executive semiconductor and software sales management, sales and applications engineering with leading technology firms. Cremer has also been appointed an officer of the company by PCTEL's Board of Directors.

"Over the past 15 months, we have worked hard to distribute our business to PC vendors as well as our traditional motherboard manufacturing base. In order to accomplish this, we need to invest more in the distribution channel that supports these customers," said Marty Singer, PCTEL's Chairman and CEO. "As we expand our Wi-Fi sales into the wireless and wired carrier market, we face an even greater requirement to strengthen our distribution and support capabilities. Marc is a great addition to our team with extensive experience and great success in supporting Tier One customers. We are delighted to have him on board," added Singer.

"I'm looking forward to advancing PCTEL's leadership position in wireless mobility software as well as extending their leadership position in soft modems," said Mr. Cremer, PCTEL's new vice president of North American Sales. "I am very pleased to be joining Marty and the seasoned management team at PCTEL and am also very impressed with its technology development team."

Prior to joining PCTEL, Mr. Cremer served as the Director of Global Sales for the Networking and Computing Systems Group within Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS). In this role, Mr. Cremer managed and directed the global sales resources focused on advancing the Motorola Semiconductor market leadership position, in integrated communications processors, host processors, digital signal processors, and network processors. He directly managed a staff of 12 managers and 80+ North American sales and field applications engineers.

Mr. Cremer also served as the Senior Director of Worldwide sales for Motorola's Software Products Division, responsible for Motorola's soft modem products. Additionally, he has held executive sales and business development positions at Catalyst Semiconductor, Rohm Corporation and Xicor.

Cremer received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
