PCTEL Antenna Products Group Introduces New Antenna Specialists Elevated Feed Dual Band Antenna

March 14, 2005

NEW ORLEANS, Mar 14, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq:PCTI), a global leader in simplifying mobility, announced today that its Antenna Products Group introduced a new dual band elevated feed antenna model to its Antenna Specialists® brand of land mobile radio antennas. The new ASPDM913U is designed to provide optimal coverage of both cellular and PCS frequencies with 3 dB of gain, and without a ground plane. PCTEL will be showing this and other antennas from its MAXRAD and Antenna Specialists product lines at the CTIA Wireless 2005 Show in New Orleans, March 14-16 (Booth 5013).

Featuring a 3/8"-24 ferrule stud adaptable to standard mirror bracket mounts, side-body mounts and shock springs, this antenna is ideal for commercial delivery truck applications utilizing both cellular and PCS networks. Its no-ground-plane, elevated feed design provides 3 dB gain performance for optimal omnidirectional coverage, and its rugged construction easily withstands high vibration conditions in most trucking applications.

"The ASPDM913U is the first Antenna Specialists® model introduced since our acquisition of this antenna brand last fall," commented Steve Deppe, President of PCTEL, Inc. Antenna Products Group. "The Antenna Specialists® line represents a strategic part of our product offering, and it is our intention to further develop it to support the needs of its loyal customer base," concluded Deppe.

The new Antenna Specialists® ASPDM913U, no ground plane, elevated feed, 3 dB gain antenna is available through the PCTEL Antenna Products Group's network of authorized distributors. For more information, visit the PCTEL Antenna Products Group webpage, at http://antenna.pctel.com.
