PCTEL Completes Change In Executive Management Team Milpitas, CA – November 29, 2001 – PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ: PCTI), a leading provider of soft modems and Internet access technology, announced today that John Schoen and Jeff Miller have joined the executive team at the company. Schoen will serve as the company's COO and CFO. Andrew Wahl, who had served as PCTEL's CFO, will manage the company's intellectual property, investment, and investor relations activities. He will report to Schoen in that capacity.

Miller will take over as Vice President, Development. The company's development teams in Milpitas, Waterbury, and Taipei will report directly to Miller.

John Schoen, who worked at Motorola in various financial positions for over 19 years, including controller of its Wireless Local Loop Division, recently served as SAFCO Technologies COO and CFO. Schoen, a CPA who began his career with Ernst & Young LLP, received his BS in Accounting from DePaul University.

Jeff Miller led SAFCO Technologies' Test and Measurement group for three years before its acquisition by Agilent Technologies. Before that, Miller worked at Motorola in its Cellular Infrastructure Group. Miller led the implementation of the Cellnet cellular network and managed large software projects, including switching and network management systems. Miller earned his BS is Computer Science at University of Illinois.
