PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq:PCTI), a leading provider of wireless solutions and access technology, announced today it is incorporating PCTEL's Segue^™ SAM software solution with GlobespanVirata's PRISM GT^™ (802.11g) and PRISM WorldRadio^™ (802.11a, b & g) WLAN technology. The resulting product will instantly convert a PC with a PRISM-based client device into a fully functional access point (AP) with router capabilities, so home and small office users can simply load software onto a central PC instead of buying another piece of hardware to wirelessly connect multiple computers.
